Second World Conference on Science and Soccer
Port Elizabeth, South Africa 8-9 June 2010

The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University is hosting The Second World Conference on Science and Soccer on 8th and 9th June 2010 on behalf of the International Steering Group on Science and Football and under the auspices of the World Commission of Science and Sports. This conference aims to develop the already successful thematic content included in conferences such as the World Congress of Science and Football by focussing on the subject matter of Association Football or soccer.

Building on the success and experience of the previous conference held in Liverpool in 2008, the meeting will be a major international event involving participants from many of the soccer playing nations. The Conference is aimed at academics, sport scientists, sports medicine specialists, physiologists, teachers, students, administrators and coaches with an interest in the scientific study and/or the practical performance of soccer from grass roots to elite level.

The Conference will include invited presentations from internationally recognised scientists and practitioners. Offers of formal and poster presentations are invited for the open sessions of the Conference.
